The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) provides a single shared standard for making web content more accessible.
WCAG forms a part of the Digital Service Standard v2.0.
The WCAG standard is applicable to all digital services. Meeting the standard is a requirement of the:
- Digital Service Standard
- Digital Inclusion Standard
- Digital Sourcing Consider First Policy
- Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Australian Government Style Manual
- Australian Government Architecture (AGA) Web Content Management standard
All commonwealth entities have an obligation to ensure their digital services comply with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
