The DTA are consulting on whether this guidance replaces the Digital Sourcing Consider First and Fair Criteria policies.

  • Agencies should embed procurement planning practices in line with the Standards for Digital Sourcing.

  • Agencies should ensure their procurement processes are fair in line with the Standards for Digital Sourcing.

Standards

The following standards show what to do to satisfy this policy.
The Digital Sourcing Framework sets the foundation of how government buys digital products and services. The Standards for Digital Sourcing enable government agencies to uplift their procurement practices to align with the Framework.

Designs

The following designs can be relevant to meeting the requirements of this policy.
The Digital Marketplace consists of a broad range of sellers to respond to proposed solutions, based on outcome-based requirements, supported by the Ask the Market flow within the platform
This guidance supports the Standards for Digital Sourcing.
AusTender provides centralised publication of Australian Government business opportunities, annual procurement plans and contracts awarded.
BuyICT.gov.au is an online marketplace that connects government buyers with ICT industry suppliers
The Commonwealth has established a whole-of-government arrangement with Microsoft to drive efficiencies in procuring Microsoft products and services. All agencies, by default, are enrolled to use the Microsoft product suite, with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint being the primary collaboration tools
