Services Australia digital assistants

Services Australia utilise digital assistants, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance service delivery and help users to:

  • find information faster
  • manage their accounts
  • process some basic claims. 

They are available across the following services: 

  • Medicare
  • Centrelink
  • Child Support
  • myGov.

The digital assistants respond to user’s enquiries through a chat function. Users are prompted to use the digital assistant by selecting the Assistant button on a web page. Once selected, the user can chat with the assistant in a pop-up chat window. 

Users are reminded not to reveal any personal information, in line with the Services Australia Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988.
