What is Data Management?

Data Management is a set of processes to manage the format, quality, currency and provenance of government data. This includes ensuring that where possible and appropriate, Australian Government data is designed to be open and transparent to the public.

Objectives

To standardise data management and data sharing practices across government through centralised data exchange platforms, to ensure the high quality and effective management of government data.
